Poem | Kedarnath | April 19, 2016
In cosmic realms where silence reigns supreme,
Lord Shiv dwells, in meditation deep,
With serpent coiled and crescent moon agleam,
He guards the secrets mortals dare not keep.
His matted locks, with Ganga’s flow entwined,
Contain the force of life in every stream,
Third eye ablaze, his vision unconfined,
Destroys illusions, and wakes us from our dream.
With trident raised, he stands in still repose,
Yet dances Tandav with fiery grace,
He breaks the chains of death, the end bestows,
And births anew the world within his space.
In Shiv’s name, we find both end and start,
Destroyer, creator, keeper of the heart.
